Nina's roots run deep in New Jersey. Growing up in Mount Laurel and attending state institutions, her Garden State foundation is firmly established—she's a Jersey Girl through and through.
Her dedication to public service was nurtured by her South Jersey upbringing. She is both passionate and practical in her commitment to improving the lives of people within her geographic and racial/affinity communities.
Nina is deeply committed to serving those most in need. During her college career, she worked full-time as a Staff Assistant in the East Wing of the White House. She also spent her undergraduate years contributing to multiple federal agencies and public interest initiatives.
With a focus on minority communities and marginalized groups, Nina has worked to make government institutions more inclusive and accessible. Having experience in both public and private organizations, she understands the challenges ahead and is determined to dedicate her career to achieving this goal.
Nina is currently a master's student at the Yenching Academy of Peking University in Beijing, China. As a Yenching Scholar, she is pursuing a degree in Law & Society. For her thesis, Nina is researching China's Gender Quota System and other international measures aimed at increasing women's representation in legislative offices. She hopes to identify best practices to develop an ideal quota system that can help uplift women in developing governments.
Nina graduated summa cum laude from Rutgers University in May 2023 with a dual bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Planning & Public Policy, along with a triple minor in Economics, Philosophy, and PPE (Philosophy, Politics, and Economics).
At Rutgers, Nina was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Sigma Alpha. Additionally, she participated in two of Rutgers University's most prestigious academic programs: the Eagleton Institute Undergraduate Associates and the Ralph W. Voorhees Public Service Fellowship.
