Nina's commitment to making the world a better place is deeply rooted in her experiences as an AAPI woman.
One of the most prevalent issues faced by the AAPI community is the lack of representation in leadership, government, and public service.
For this reason, Nina has dedicated immense efforts to making the world more equal and inclusive for AAPIs. By founding her own nonprofit and serving as a founding member and advisor in another, Nina has sponsored experiential leadership programs, provided educational and professional resources, and conducted DEI and empowerment workshops for minority and AAPI youth.
She hopes that by empowering youth, the systemic issues and barriers facing the AAPI community will be dismantled.
AAPI Advocacy Alliance
Nina is a Founder & President of AAPI Advocacy Alliance. The aim of this organization is to develop the next generation of leaders through offering providing educational resources and highlighting immersive opportunities to pursue service at the local, state, and federal levels.
TORCH Leadership Academy
Nina has been an advisor with this organization since 2017. In 2022, Nina helped fund the TORCH leadership academy, sending 40 students, free-of-cost, to the program. The aim of this leadership academy is to develop leaders through transformative experiences.
